ever had the feeling of your world falling apart...? i think i had a glimpse of that. it kinda sucks after sec3's inter school, yu set ur heart and mind on getting into the floor IEF, and the shattering news of 'your not competing' sets in the following yr ( after training so hard), the sinking feeling which immediately follows isn't exactly pleasant.
nevertheless there was the support of my team-mates and other fellow gymmers which kinda 'lifted' me slightly from my sunken state. they're a great bunch of people =D
however after the comp..i was really really disappointed with myself because i contributed the least to the team, i got last for p.bars cuz my dismount wasn't counted cuz i bent my legs, and because i bent my legs for vault they made my layout1/2turn of starting value 9.1 into a somer1/2turn of starting value...8.5??? so i got third in the team...and i was really hoping to get into the IEF for at least something cuz this was, after all my last yr. [for ur info..only the top 2 in the team get into the IEF]
then nahnah was being nice and gave up his place for me, he said he wanted to concentrate on floor and didn't wanna risk injury for vault. so..i had the privilege to compete, which was really an awesome ending to this miserable year of gym.
fortunately i took more away from this competition than any other, having the handy CANON CAMERA POWERSHOT G2 which happens to be my fathers. its a brilliant camera really..and i caught some cool moments of the airborne gymnasts somersaulting and twisting. i managed to take some angry wenling pictures also ;O ;O ;O (she, nicole and tabbi were the only ones willing to at least pose occasionally to let me have a snapshot of them, and most of the time when they did they'd be doing some zombie face. and to those who complain my picture taking skills are newbish - MY SKILLS ARE GOSU!!!) and a few other precious moments as my sec sch gym career drew to an end. tengjin said he, too felt this feeling of emptiness inside,or something along that line last yr.....
so the moral of the day
"Gym competition's fun but training sucks!" - david lau
p.s. the boarding trio of david, nah, kangwei were being ridiculous during the whole occasion, drooling at
(fill in the blank), doing MTVs of stacy's (not peh)mom, and apparently displaying their secret desire to be girls by demonstrating their prowess on the balance beam
